The fund 'Ekofundusz' since 1992 manages funds from the eco conversion of Poland’s foreign debts , which means donated to Poland by 6 countries (USA, France, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland and Norway) for environmental protection investments.
Until 2001 300 mln euro has been spent on the realization of projects connected with improving the energy effectiveness of Poland .The fund estimates that one of the most effective energy sources in Poland is wind energy.

The author of this article also describes the largest wind farm in Poland activated by 'Energia Eco' in Cisowo near Darłowo.

The company has put up 9 wind mills, each generates 2 MW of power, each is 118 m high.
